News From D-23
The Once Upon a Time bosses came to D23 on Saturday armed with a ton of scoop about the upcoming rebooted season, including that new series regular Dania Ramirez will, in fact, be playing Henry’s (Andrew J. West) wife, a.k.a the mother of Lucy (Alison Fernandez), as — wait for it — a new iteration of Cinderella.
Executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis revealed that well see Jared Gilmore return as a young Henry when the season kicks off so viewers can see why he left home. “Henry’s the author of the first book, but he wants to go to the place where the happy ending isn’t written,” Kitsis says.
When he ventures to these new places, we’ll actually see different iterations of some of the characters we’ve come to know and love over the years. “There’s a Disney animated version of some movies and then there are live action version, and then there are some fairy tales that are told some countries and a different version in some others,” Kitsis adds. Hence Ramirez playing a different iteration of the character first played by Jessy Schram on the series.Source:
Thanks to this tweet, from @Stefanie_Kelley we know that the premiere of the seventh season will be October 6th.
Personally, I didn’t know if I was going to want to still watch once the news of the mass exit hit, but seeing this, I think I’m still captivated.
Initially it was reported, Emilie de Ravin was a part of the mass exit. However, it’s not being reported that de Ravin will be a guest star for at least one episode.
Emilie de Ravin will return for at least one episode during Once Upon a Time‘s seventh season, EW has learned exclusively.
The actress, who first joined the ABC fairy tale drama in season 1 as Belle of Beauty and the Beast fame, exited OUAT as a series regular alongside five other actors at the close of season 6. However, when EW sat down with executive producers Adam Horowitz, Edward Kitsis, and David H. Goodman to conduct the first edition of The Hot Seat for season 7, the trio confirmed that de Ravin would return in episode 4 to provide an update on Belle.Source:
